Tutoring Session #1- Daniella

 My first tutoring session with my tutee went a little better than I expected. We started by going the academic and non-academic questions provoided on our tutoring packet. After we learned a little bit about eachother, I was able to assess her english level. Her speaking was almost completley fluent but I was able to see that she needed help with sentence structure and accuracy of what words are best to use where. We did some sentence building activities where I made some simple sentences and mixed around the word order so she could put them together. After that, we started doing some practice with the past tense and I noticed she needed help distinguishing between the different types of past tenses and how to change the verbs accordingly. For the next tutoring session we will work on practice with the past tense.
